The knowledge you provide is priceless Dave. Maybe you should make a DVD boxset covering all your skills.

The best example of how a fly rod works would be a bull whip. The rod has to be tapered so that the tip of the rod is moving faster than the handle. You will also get a smoother feed if you add more eyelets.

Go to the canal, where the track is and park under the Bourne Bridge. If you are facing the canal, then go right for about three quarters of a mile. Every time I go there I catch multiple keeper stripers. Especially right around the time of slack tide. Good luck

Not illegal anywhere that I am awear of except maybe Cali. but I imagine if they could get thier way fishing period would be illegal. Here it is called a trot ine when you use floats on the line. It is usually tied to a stationary object and left over night such as Dave did. The difference is that you would put several hooks on a single line spaced 2 -3 feet apart. This can be a very effective way to harvest a large number of fish for sale trade or barter.

I Fly fish and I'm not laughing.., good effort, small point you may find advantageous, when you cast keep your wrist straight, you tended to "break" your wrist to cast ,this will limit the distance and accuracy of the cast, use your arm and shoulder for the power and keep your wrist straight
